Marissa Tree

Hi there. I’m Marissa Tree, an accomplished strategic communications consultant to the consumer and corporate sectors.

I work for national communications agency, The Red Agency, where my role is to produce consistent results for our Brisbane-based clients and provide strategic direction on key accounts, as well as manage new business and provide guidance for the growing team. Most recently, I have been tasked with leading our work in social media.

My mix of in-house and agency experience covers publicity and media relations, social media strategy, events management, strategic marketing and brand management across a number of industries including tourism, retail, finance, media, boating, technology, and environment.

I have a Bachelor of Business from QUT with double majors in Marketing (Integrated Marketing Communications) and Management (Organisational Consulting). I am currently the Vice President of the Queensland council for the Public Relations Institute of Australia and chair of the Registered Consultancies Group in Queensland.

I’m a regular speaker at networking events on all things PR – branding, marketing communications, social media, internal and external communications, reputation management and, of course, media relations – at events such as Networx, AIMIA, PRIA, University of Queensland JACS and Interactive Minds.
